kindle-swindle

I don't think that it's right for kindle to offer the product with the intention of "new and improved multimedia", if they aren't compensating those with the audio rights.  The entire point of a 'book on tape', at least from a business standpoint, is to sell the rights to listen that piece of audio.  Kindle is getting away with a little more than it should, but it's really not a big deal, because it's in the spot light already, and as the link mentions, apps already exist in which your mobile device will narrate for you.  Sounds like a slap on the wrist for kindle, and the life-line beeping of the books on audio industry..

  1. I agree with you that Kindle is getting away with using the Audio without paying for the rights. Hopefully some audio companys will stay in busniess after Kindle takes over.
