So here is my first ever, howto vlog. I go over some really basic pointers for safely using a pressure cooker. Sorry about the duration of the video, I wanted it to be shorter, but I thought it would in inconsiderate to skimp on anything since the process is potentially hazardous.. Judge me if you'd like! Wow, you did an excellent job of not only sharing the benefits, but cautioning about the possible dangers of pressure cooking. I also liked that you included information about sterilizing cooking tools and silverware. I've never used a pressure cooker, but I see them on Top Chef all the time :) You may have inspired me to try for myself!

I like your video a lot. I know absolutely nothing about pressure cooking, so it was kind of neat to hear about the proper method of using a pressure cooker. It seems like something that I would like to try. Good job!

Very good, Lorin. Your video is detailed, your style is calm and thoughtful, your subject was covered in detail. The only suggestions I have would be the camera work was a little all over the place (were you holding it and doing the demo?) and at times I got a little seasick from the fast zooms and pans. It didn't go with your calm presentation, it seemed a bit hectic and if you were doing it all yourself I can see why, that's a lot to do. All in all this is an excellent video, fact-filled, and has the potential for a series on other cooking tools. Good job!
ReplyDeletethanks everyone! Lisa: I know I was a little shaky with the camera when aiming it back at myself or at certain things as I was explaining. Next time I make a video it will involve much better planning to address the issues you mentioned.
